In the history of bad contracts, relief pitcher B.J. Ryan getting
five years and $47 million from the Blue Jays would rank near the top of
the list. Ken Rosenthal says the lefty's windfall will not only
raise an already overpriced free agent market even higher, but it will
also put immense pressure on Ryan.
